The Power

Did you know that God has Power? Sure, He created all things, including man, who has notalways been very good. Paul says, “all sinned and fall short of the Glory of God.” But – the good news (the gospel) is the Power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes in God’s gospel. The gospel reveals God’s great righteousness. Scripture tells us (Romans 2:15) that one of the witnesses that will defend or condemn us is our conscience. Our thought will accuse or defend us at the day of judgement. This power of God, this righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ. We become justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus (Romans 3:24). God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, (as the one who would turn aside his wrath, taking away sin), through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished—he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus. If we have this faith we uphold the law.

As we live in a world full of evil and sin, may our faith in the Power of God save us because of Jesus.
