Children’s Ministry

We aim to partner with parents to teach our children to love and obey the Lord in every aspect of their lives, and to equip them with the full armor of God so they can stand against whatever the world might throw at them. We believe that the best way to do this is help each of our children develop a lifelong relationship with Jesus, so that they can begin to be shaped into His image!

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
(Matthew 19:14)

Goals

We believe that the Bible is clear that parents have the primary responsibility for teaching their children how to become disciples of Jesus, but also that the entire church family plays an important role in their spiritual growth. Our desire is to come alongside and partner with parents in the discipleship process as a family. Of course, our goals for the kids change as they mature and learn, requiring a different type of interaction in different situations and at different ages. We have several different programs that engage the kids on their level in different ways.

Bible Classes (Sunday)

Nursery and preschool: We provide a fun environment to nurture the zero to five year olds. We want them to learn that God made them and loves them, along with some of the basic Bible stories that will form the foundation of their future discipleship.

Elementary age: We aim to help our kids as they get older to grow in their faith and knowledge of the Bible. We focus on learning the value of the scriptures, as both a history of how God works in the lives of His people and as a guide for our lives.

Middle and High school: As our children mature and come into their own faith, we aim to get deeper into the God’s message and how to deal with the sometimes difficult preteen and teenage years. We want our children to have a firm command of the truths from the scriptures so that they can withstand the coming storms, and also to know how these truths provide wisdom for being a Jesus follower in today’s environment.
