What to Expect

We know that visiting a new church can be overwhelming, so we try to have an environment that is very welcoming for visitors. We view our church as our family, and would love for you to spend some time with us!

A typical Sunday morning…

Many in our family start by grabbing a cup of coffee or a donut in the fellowship area, then heading off to Bible class around 9:30 — we usually have two classes for adults and classes for our children of all ages. At 10:30, our family worship begins in the auditorium, and we encourage everyone to participate in all aspects of the worship, as they feel comfortable. We will encourage one another through a cappella singing, praying together, remembering our Lord’s sacrifice through communion, and will have a Bible-based sermon that aims to remind us of how we should live out the word of God in our lives. There is a staffed nursery available for babies and toddlers, and we also have a special children’s worship service called “Carpenter’s Kids” for young children during the sermon time. We are fairly casual in the way that most of us dress, and you won’t feel out of place whether you are wearing jeans or a suit and tie.

A typical Wednesday evening…

We begin with a time of worship together, singing a few songs and praying over our concerns and praises for that week. We then break into groups, with the adults spending time in Bible study, our older kids spending time learning how to serve in our puppet ministry, and our younger kids in engaging in classes for their age groups.

A typical Life group…

All of our life groups involve time dedicated to praying together, studying the Bible, and just getting to know each other. Each of the groups do these things slightly differently, so you may want to try out several groups to find one that fits for you and your family.
